Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Set up Machinist to join our team. The role involves working with CNC mills, specifically 3-5 axis machines, to perform independent setups and operations. The machinist will handle prototype work and short runs, primarily working with aluminum, carbon fiber, and Kevlar materials.
ResponsibilitiesPerform independent machine set-ups without assistance.Analyze job orders, drawings, blueprints, specifications, and design data to determine the appropriate machine tool, work holding and cutter selection, machine speeds, and feed rates.Responsible for all phases of part operation, including setup to achieve first article acceptance.Perform and maintain accurate in-process quality inspection and records.Identify and recommend process improvements that reduce part quality variation.Input data into visual management forms and convey results to the team.Participate in internal training as needed to perform duties assigned to this role.Other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsPrevious CNC Set up experience (2-3 years).High School Diploma or GED.Understanding of machine tool clearances, fixture offsets, and cutting tool offsets.Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and the management team.Ability to use indicators, gauges, and plate inspection methods for fixture pick-up, first article, and in-process inspection of precision machined parts.Ability to verbally communicate, read, and comprehend written and verbal instructions in English.Ability to interpret blueprint and quality requirements.Proficiency in MS Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat).Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with HAAS brand machines is helpful but not required.Must be able to work in a loud environment.Available to work periodic mandatory weekends and overtime.Capable of standing for extended periods of time.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
You will be working in a composites company recently acquired by HEICO. The role involves working with HAAS machines in a machine shop environment. The work environment can be loud, and you must be comfortable standing for extended periods. The position may require periodic mandatory weekends and overtime.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00
