CNC Setup Technician

Sets up machines and equipment to cut, shape, form, or grind metal work pieces to specifications. This includes “tombstone”/fixture changes, setting up parts in machines, troubleshooting out-of-spec dimensions, making PLC/automation adjustments, performing parametric programming, making advanced CNC program changes, and creating new CNC programs. Assists the supervisor in overseeing employees in the manufacturing and assembly of product as well as safety of operators and equipment.

In this Role, your Responsibilities Will Be: 

•Sets speed and feed of machine according to type of operations and specified material and finish •Installs and adjusts holding device and fastens specified cutting and shaping tools in position. •Assists Supervisor in evaluating and controlling material, labor and equipment. •Recommends continuous improvement ideas such as: cost reduction methods and procedures. •Replaces parts on machine such as filters and checks coolant pH levels. •Repairs minor problems on equipment and fixtures and notifies supervisor and engineering of repairs needed •Supports and adheres to all Safety, 5-S, ISO, Lean Manufacturing, Quality and Machine efforts and responsibilities.

For this Role, You Will Need:

•High School diploma or GED •Basic math skills and computer literate •Exemplary attendance •Must be receptive and able to travel for outside training when necessary. •Ability to read blueprints Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.
