Job Purpose The CNC Sr Specialist **(1st Shift-7:00 am-3:00 pm)** will promote KAITEKI values creating and maintaining a safe and positive work environment. This position will work closely with the CNC & Fabrication Supervisor and provide daily support to operations of production and manufacturing for given departments and assigned staff. They will oversee and monitor manufacturing equipment and procedures in the machining department which includes CNC machines (routers, lathes, mills and manuals). The CNC Sr Specialist will provide effective training to all new and existing employees and ensure safety and quality standards and procedures are maintained. Principal Accountabilities + Actively participate in the interviewing process to ensure appropriate talent is staffed to the department. + Provide, arrange, and assist in training for all staff. + Delegate daily production assignments. + Ensure that all production staff are following good manufacturing processes by following the standard operating procedures and safety practices. + Develop and maintain effective relationships with employees through mentoring and setting examples on the production floor. + Monitor and give effective feedback to staff on their performance throughout the year and during a formal annual review process. + Monitor employee hours and make sure they are accurately entered for payroll processing. + Reviewing the ERP system to make sure time is being reported correctly for jobs being worked. + Work with employees through issues that may arise while following company policies and escalate the situations to management, as needed. **Production** + Act as a point of contact on the production floor to all other departments. + Work with CNC & Fabrication Supervisor to manage and prioritize staffing assignments. + Report all quality, production and equipment issues to the CNC & Fabrication Supervisor. + Communicate with Manufacturing Engineering for programming issues and estimating if necessary + Help to ensure production targets are achieved, including monitoring staffing, waste and productivity. + Responsible for efficient, high-quality operation of assigned CNC machines. + Ensure efficient and effective machine changeovers. + Be accountable for the general operation and efficiencies of production operations. + Ensure preventative maintenance on equipment and partner with maintenance for equipment troubleshooting and repair. + Monitor product quality (including sampling and record-keeping-ERP system) to ensure products meet required specifications. + Conduct spot investigations, audits and regular inspections to ensure all work is performed safely. + Other duties as assigned. Knowledge / Skills / Experience + High School Diploma or equivalent is required. + 10+ years’ experience in CNC Machining required. + 1-5 years of experience in a leadership role required. + Blueprint reading and comprehension of GD&T principles, required. + Using and knowledge of manual inspection gages + Able to edit and writing of programs required. + Must have basic math skills.
