Spherion is partnering with a local precision manufacturing company to find an experienced CNC Swiss Lathe Programmer.

This role will be responsible for developing and optimizing CNC programs for Swiss-type lathes, ensuring efficient production of high-precision components.

You'll work Monday-Friday, 7AM-3:30PM, and you'll earn a flexible hourly salary dependent on experience! ...
Responsibilities:
Develop and optimize complex CNC programs for Swiss-type lathes
Create and maintain detailed programming documentation and procedures
Train and mentor junior programmers in Swiss machining techniques
Collaborate with engineering on manufacturability and process improvements
Troubleshoot programming issues and implement solutions
Ensure quality standards and tight tolerances are maintained

Working hours: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Skills:
Experience with Swiss and Turning machines
Knowledge of high-speed machining techniques
Six Sigma or lean manufacturing certification
Proficiency in multiple CAM platforms
Experience with micro-machining operations
Background in medical or aerospace manufacturing
Familiarity with automation and robotic cell integration
ISO 9001 quality system experience
Tool life optimization expertise

Education:
No Degree Required

Experience:
4-7 years

Qualifications:
7+ years of CNC programming experience, with 5+ years specific to Swiss-type lathes
Expert knowledge of G-code programming and CAM software
Proficiency with Fanuc and Citizen control systems
Experience with multi-axis Swiss lathe operations
Strong understanding of GD&T and precision measurement techniques
Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
Swiss-type CNC lathe programming and operation
CAM software proficiency
Advanced knowledge of cutting tools and materials
Quality inspection and measurement systems
Process optimization and lean manufacturing
