The role

As a CNC Team Leader/Trainer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will deliver the work-based training for the machinist, fitting and inspection apprentices and also graduate engineers as well as being their first line manager. 

 

Day-to-day, you’ll work closely alongside the operation leadership team to assist with professional development training to the skilled workforce.

 

Ensuring the health and safety of the apprentices – The highest standards of health and safety must be installed into the apprentices. New technology and practices should also be reviewed to improve safety where possible. Deliver training – Training the apprentices to the highest standard. Maintain discipline – Apprentices are often in their first professional job. You will need to instil good work ethics and Babcock beliefs into them. Support the wellbeing of apprentices – Apprentices are often young and inexperienced. You will over guidance for their well being and escalate where required.

 

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based on site at Bristol.

 

Essential experience of the CNC Team Leader/Trainer

Knowledge in machining, and fitting. Ability to programme CNC machines using various languages
