Responsibilities Testing and evaluating material properties Receiving feedback from marketing professionals on how products can better fit the needs of customers and determining how engineering skills can meet those needs Developing ideas and concepts for new products or product changes Collaborating with international associates to complete project goals Working independently to complete a specific aspect of a project Gaining an awareness of budgetary, manufacturing and sourcing limitations Completing other research and development work, as required. Qualifications Proficient use of Microsoft Office Tools, with a special emphasis on Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Proficiency at conducting experiments and data collection. Basic experience with data analysis, methods and graphing. Solid knowledge of the principles of Physics, Chemistry and Materials. Creative problem solving skills. Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) Ability to work in a team environment Education and experience required: Incumbent must be actively pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering, at an ABET-accredited school, and must have completed at least one semester of sophomore year.
