Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking an Electronics Engineering Intern. The hourly rate for this position is $22.15 - $27.69 per hour. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. **What you’ll do:** **Position Overview:** The Product Development Electronic Engineer is responsible for the creative design and development of electronic circuit design, both analog and digital, for products related to residential and commercial circuit protection devices. In addition, the person in this role will support firmware and software for embedded systems/micro-controllers. This position will contribute to the overall hardware design of the product with involvement from project initiation thru manufacturing launch, plus ongoing developments. Functional responsibility includes design, testing and certification of the components plus systems as well as product qualification for performance, reliability, DFMA, and cost optimization of the final product. This position will work closely with the Engineering Manager, Program Manager, other Electronic/ Electrical and Mechanical Engineers; also with Operations team members, Sourcing and Manufacturing personnel to develop the products in an organized and expedient fashion per our Pro-Launch process. **What you’ll do:** • Participate in the design of analog and digital circuits, including power supplies, signal conditioning, and microprocessor support circuits. • Support firmware and software developments for embedded systems/micro-controllers • Support the research and development of business case(s) in new product development cycle to understand viability of proposed products in the marketplace • Support enhancements of existing products and services based on evaluations of existing and new technologies per Eaton’s strategic plans • Support the technical evaluations of third-party solutions and assess opportunities to develop partnerships or and new suppliers • Contribute to domestic and international project teams assigned to research, design, develop, test and/or launch new innovations; ensure projects are completed on time and within budget • Participate in product certification activities – UL / CSA **Qualifications:** **Basic Qualifications:** • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar function from an accredited institution with graduation no later than August 2027 • Minimum of one internship or co-op experience or an equivalent of 3 months work experience completed at the time of this application • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher (please don't round). • Relocation is not provided for this role, the candidate must be located within 50 miles of Moon Township, PA We are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
