Description

Skyworks is seeking an intern with a strong EM (Electromagnetics) background AND programming skills to help on automation solutions for Multi-Chip Module (MCM) design flow for its industry-leading wireless modules. In this role, you will focus on design export from one EDA tool and import to another tool using scripting languages. Through interactions with experienced engineers and learning, you'll gain hands-on experience of the flow and EDA tools involved and make contributions. This experience will give you an advantage in your future career in the industry.

Responsibilities Maintain, improve, and write scripts to automate EM simulations of MCM design with seamless integration of EM models Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design teams and EDA tool vendors Enhance the flow using your knowledge and creativity Required Experience and Skills MSEE with focus on EM Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, Linux Shell Scripts Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to details Strong communication and interpersonal skills Desired Experience and Skills Experience in EM simulation tools, especially with HFSS Experience with Cadence APD and/or Virtuoso would be a plus

The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
