An engineering internship opportunity for the Fall of 2025 is available on the AES Project Planning team. 

QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate should be:

A student pursuing a four-year degree Construction management, Construction Technology, Project Management or Engineering.  

An academic standing of Sophomore status or higher is preferred.

Additional consideration will be given to candidates with a strong academic background, attention to detail, organization, leadership and presentation skills.

A proficiency in technical applications, Excel and PowerPoint is also preferred.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

​Create scope of work documents, cost estimates, and schedules for assigned projects engaging engineering and other SMEs as required

Facilitate detailed scope review with project stakeholders to ensure that project components are accounted and are reasonable from a cost and schedule perspective

Research scope and cost information to ensure accuracy of system data

Work with AES engineering and finance teams to build the project business cases using financial modeling tools

Validate project financial data submitted to the annual budget review process

Manage the budget for assigned T&D annual investment programs

Participate in formalized AES-specific learning opportunities to further your knowledge and understanding towards accelerating the responsible energy transmission

Actively engage in open discussions to identify ways the company can improve to be better prepared for the future of utilities

Intern may be expected to complete additional assignments as determined by their supervisor.
