Carnival Corporation is seeking a motivated and curious student to join our Health Services team as part of a full-time hybrid co-op program based in Miami, Florida. This unique opportunity allows the student to gain hands-on experience with process improvement and policy management within the healthcare operations of the world’s largest leisure travel company.
The selected co-op will be part of a dynamic project focused on simplifying and streamlining medical and public health policies and procedures across our global fleet. With over 95 shipboard medical centers serving more than 12 million guests and crew annually, this is a high-impact initiative. The project includes policy document review and simplification, process alignment, accountability mapping, and the creation of a centralized policy tracking and auditing system.
In addition to exposure to cross-functional teams, the co-op will gain hands-on experience working with tools such as Microsoft Planner, SharePoint, and Power BI to drive documentation and reporting.
What You’ll Learn
As a member of the Health Services team, you’ll gain exposure to:
Revising and simplifying health policy documents for shipboard and shoreside operations. Collaborating with medical and public health professionals across multiple brands. Managing health policy projects with defined goals, deliverables, and timelines. Developing professional communication skills through stakeholder engagement. Creating and maintaining project documentation including plans, timelines, and status reports. Building dashboards and systems to track policy ownership, revisions, and audits.What We’re Looking For
We are seeking students who bring a strong work ethic, curiosity, and a passion for process improvement. Ideal candidates will demonstrate:
Strong writing skills with the ability to simplify complex content. Attention to detail and organization in reviewing policies and data. Interest or background in healthcare, public health, or operations. Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools. Project management mindset with familiarity in tools such as Click-Up, Microsoft Planner, or similar. Collaborative attitude and confidence working across diverse teams.Preferred Qualifications
Experience drafting technical or policy documents in an academic or professional setting. Prior involvement in student leadership, clubs, or community organizations. Ability to present complex topics clearly through visual and written communication. Curiosity about the cruise industry and healthcare delivery in unique environments.
