The co-op will contribute to the R&D Microbiology department’s ability to develop new and support existing products and timely completion of projects by performing routine tasks and may be a part of more complex experiments. Principal Contributions / Accountabilities and Associated Activities + Work independently to complete routine microbiology and molecular biology laboratory tasks in a timely and accurate manner. + Under the supervision of more senior R&D staff, perform routine experiments. + Perform data collection. + Comply with protocols and procedures. + Maintain appropriate documentation. + Working with senior R&D staff, the individual with plan, prioritize and complete assigned activities. + Reasonable, reliable attendance and punctuality is an essential job functions required for this position. Experience, Skills and Qualifications + Pursuing an A.S. in laboratory technology, a B.S. or higher in Microbiology, health-related profession, biomedical technology or molecular science. + Have completed at least one molecular biology laboratory class or other relevant laboratory coursework. + Theoretical knowledge of relevant techniques Soft Skills + Achievement Orientation, analytical thinking, flexibility, information seeking, Teamwork and collaboration
