The co-op will contribute to the R&D Microbiology department’s ability to develop new and support existing products and timely completion of projects by performing routine tasks and may be a part of more complex experiments.
Principal Contributions / Accountabilities and Associated Activities
Work independently to complete routine microbiology and molecular biology laboratory tasks in a timely and accurate manner.Under the supervision of more senior R&D staff, perform routine experiments.Perform data collection.Comply with protocols and procedures.Maintain appropriate documentation. Working with senior R&D staff, the individual with plan, prioritize and complete assigned activities.Reasonable, reliable attendance and punctuality is an essential job functions required for this position.Experience, Skills and Qualifications
Pursuing an A.S. in laboratory technology, a B.S. or higher in Microbiology, health-related profession, biomedical technology or molecular science. Have completed at least one molecular biology laboratory class or other relevant laboratory coursework.Theoretical knowledge of relevant techniques
