AS A SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL CO-OP, YOU WILL: 

Mentor and Coach other EHS leaders in the Velocity Environmental Health and Safety system. Acquire and manipulate data from the organization’s global safety database system to understand problems and address them proactively.Update documents including policies, procedures, JSAs, etc.Prepare and present information to Regional EHS Leader for various projects. Help EHS Leaders with trend analysis by creating reports, dashboards, and visualizations to understand and drive safety performance.Assist in identifying gaps and help create improvement strategies.Work with team to develop and drive KPI’s to measure effectiveness of business decisions.Assist in the development of safety presentations and reports.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

Undergraduate student currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Health and Safety, Physical Sciences, Engineering or related fieldAbility to work 32-40 hours a week during the scheduled semesterExceptional verbal and written communication skills, organization skills, analytical skills, and the ability to prioritize tasksProficient with Microsoft Office Software, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and OutlookLegal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role

Our facility in Lebanon, MO is located on Interstate 44 and Historic Route 66 in the scenic Ozarks of South-Central Missouri. We enjoy a small-town community with a Lebanon population of 14,628 and Laclede County population of 36,069. Our area is known for Bennett Spring State Park, lakes, rivers, hunting, and fishing. Lebanon is home to several boat manufacturers and two stock-car racing tracks. Lebanon is also centrally located, just 1 hour from the city of Springfield and 2.5 hours from St. Louis. About Our Location
Our plant in Lebanon, MO is Copeland’s flagship operation for scroll compressor assembly and a machining powerhouse for main bearing housings and scroll elements, with over 60 million scroll compressors produced in the past 27 years.
