Job Summary:
Do you have a Master's Degree (or higher) in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related Behavioral Health field of study? Are you passionate about providing crisis intervention and support for persons experiencing crisis? Join our team at Burrell Behavioral Health as a Co-Responder!
As a Co-Responder, you'll collaborate with the Springfield Police Department to ensure that identified individuals are provided with the opportunity to access recommended behavioral health treatment. Your main responsibilities will include crisis intervention, safety planning, service assessment and referral, resource navigation, and brief case management services to assist with continuity of care.

Collaborate with Springfield Police Department to provide crisis intervention and support for persons experiencing crisisEnsure identified individuals are provided with the opportunity to access recommended behavioral health treatmentConduct crisis intervention, safety planning, service assessment and referral, resource navigation, and brief case management services to assist with continuity of careAdhere to all safety guidelines and officer directives regarding safety or scene securityDocument and track interventions appropriately according to all agency standards and governing regulationsAssist law enforcement with Involuntary Detention procedures when appropriateProvide or assist with training and consultation on behavioral health issues for Springfield Police DepartmentEducation and/or Experience Qualifications:
Master's Degree (or higher) in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related Behavioral Health field of studyPreferred crisis intervention experienceAbility to pass a background check as required by Springfield Police DepartmentAdditional Qualifications:
Strong communication and collaboration skillsPassion for crisis intervention and supporting persons in crisisUnderstanding of safety protocols and ability to adhere to officer directivesAttention to detail and ability to document and track interventions appropriatelyWillingness to provide training and consultation on behavioral health issuesBrightli is on a Mission:
