**Coal Equipment Operator** **Red Hills Power Plant: Ackerman, MS** **JOB SUMMARY** As a Coal Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for inspecting, operating and monitoring coal conveyor systems; fuel transfer and supply lines and associated equipment; collect and prepare fuel samples; prepare and complete documentation for these procedures. The Coal Equipment Operator also operates the Limestone Drying Process Equipment at the plant and will perform other operations & maintenance duties as assigned. **JOB REQUIREMENTS** **_Education Requirements_** + High School Diploma or GED **_Experience Requirements_** + Knowledge of basic electrical and mechanical principles + Some knowledge of power plant principles preferred **_Knowledge, Skills & Abilities_** + Basic mechanical aptitude + Knowledge of hand tools + Ability to take instructions/directions and translate into actions + Math and calculation skills + Ability to read, understand and follow procedures, rules and regulations **_Other Requirements_** + This job requires shift work and overtime + Must be available to respond to call-outs seven days per week + Perform physical activities while wearing respiratory equipment + Perform physical work activities in a power plant environment **_PRACTICE TEST_** **_Successful completion of the POSS/MASS pre-employment test is a requirement.
