We are looking for:
The position is going to support the Coatings business segment of Syensqo at the R&I Center in Bristol, Pa. The candidate will work under the direct supervision of a senior scientist on projects related to functional additives and specialty monomer development for polymer dispersion synthesis. The candidate will have the opportunity to assist the senior scientists in developing structure-property correlations to identify key performance trends to guide future work in polymer made by emulsion polymerization.

We count on you for:
Prepare polymer dispersion via emulsion polymerization and test physical characteristics of the polymer such as latex particle size & viscosity, monomers conversion, reaction coagulum, polymer Tg & MFFT . Measure physical properties of latex polymer films, resistance to water and temperature. Analyze routine and non-routine (special request) samples, using approved methods, under minimal supervision. Record raw data and results into logbooks, or computers (when applicable) and provide sample submitters with accurate data within an acceptable time frame. Maintain laboratory and associated equipment in a safe and clean condition. Ensure reliability of test results through the analysis of Standards and Statistical Process Control. Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
