Gannett Fleming is looking for Coatings Inspectors to support our growing team of Professionals in the New England/Massachusetts area for the current and upcoming 2025 construction season. Our coatings inspectors provide Quality Assurance oversight of contractor’s workmanship in accordance with Gannett Flemings Quality Management Protocols, client’s policies/procedures and referenced technical standards related to surface preparation, testing and coatings application of structural steel on bridge/highway related coatings projects in both shop and field environments.
Responsibilities
Perform in-process and hold point Quality Assurance oversight on major bridge rehabilitation projects Must perform all testing/inspections in a timely manner and adhere to Gannett Flemings Quality Management Protocols (QMP)Complete daily inspection reports on a daily basisRepresent the client and Gannett Fleming interests in a professional manner and appearanceBe onsite during contractor work activitiesReport and take directions from Gannett Flemings coatings managerEducation | Experience:Requirements:
High School DiplomaNACE CIP 1 SSPC C-3 - lead paint removalMinimum 5 years of coating application and/or coating inspection experience on bridge related projectsMaintain a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to, from and around project locationsMust understand comprehensive construction drawings, coatings specifications and referenced technical standardsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsComputer literate including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and WindowsAbility to travel and work flexible schedules including overtimeMust be physically capable and willing to work outdoors, maneuver difficult terrain and pass a medical evaluation Company Overview:Life at Gannett Fleming
