Ventia has an exciting opportunity for experienced and qualified Coded Welders, FIFO from Perth with the main shutdown commencing on the 1st June. 

 

1st June – Barrow Island shutdown | Paid inductions and flights from Perth  

Fantastic & modern amenities, own room, gym, swimming pool and more 

Get involved in future LNG Projects and shutdown opportunities as they arise 

 

Shutdown dates:  

Main shutdown – Commences on the 1st June (12-hour days) 2-3 weeks 

Post shutdown works will commence at the completion of the main shutdown (12-hour days) 2/2 Roster 

 

What on offer: 

Casual Rate $77.30 per/hour  

Travel allowance $160 per/swing   

Paid inductions completed prior to mobilisation   

Own room with air-conditioning and foxtel   

Amenities – Swimming pools, tennis courts and Gym (Fitness classes)

About Ventia:  

Ventia is seeking experienced & qualified Coded Welders. This casual role will see you working FIFO out of Perth as part of the Barrow Island Turnaround team on Chevron's 2025 turnaround (TAR 112) and as opportunities arise to join future shutdowns, campaign maintenance and frontline teams. 

 

What you’ll need:   

Essential   

Trade Certificate 

Ability to complete weld testing as part of the pre-employment checks 

Confined Space Entry – Valid within 3 years  

Working Safely at Heights – Valid within 3 years  

High Risk Work License – WP 

White Card 

Driver’s license 

 

Desirable  

Operate breathing apparatus valid withing 3 years   

Provide First Aid   

Industry Safety Induction   

 

What you will bring:  

Experience in GTAW - Gas Tungsten Arc Welding) & Stick (Metal Arc Welding)  

Knowledge and practical experience of the Carbon Arc Welding Code 

Proven structural welding, fabrication capabilities with carbon, aluminum & Stainless steel 

Expertise in Oil & Gas, refineries and maintenance environments  

Safety – first mindset following safety protocols and hazard procedures
