Be apart of something great! **Position Highlights** **Position Summary:** The Coder 1-Outpatient Analyst is responsible for the timely and accurate assignment of diagnostic and procedural codes for basic outpatient charts. Accurate abstracting, along with other reporting and editing functions, is also a major responsibility. The Coder will work to meet quality and production goals for the position, with occasional guidance from other professional staff. Position will work closely with, and be mentored by, other coding professional staff to ensure accurate coding assignment. **Work Schedule:** Forty hours per week, Monday through Friday. The hours per day may vary in order to accommodate the census needs of the facility. **Education/Experience:** + Bachelor Degree in Health Information Administration; or Associate Degree in Health Information Technology preferred. High school graduate or equivalent required. **Licensure/Certification:** If not certified or registered, the employee is required to obtain _one_ of the certifications below within 12 months of employment.
