GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES \n

Has overall responsibility at all sites within Terry Reilly to support, train and audit clinician staff on the proper use and research techniques for CPT and ICD-10 coding consistent with the AAPC and CMS coding guidelines.\n

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS\n\n2 years CPT and ICD coding experience.\nCertified Professional Coder (CPC-A) credential or equivalent education. Recognized professional certification (IE CPC, CCA, etc.)Strong medical billing background including diagnosis codes and disease states.\nStrong understanding of clinical workflows\nExtensive knowledge of medical billing terminology and billing requirements, chart note interpretation.\n\n

Ability to work with minimal supervision.\n\nAuditing of chart notes and maintain courteous and professional communication with providers.\nStrong verbal communication skills.\nCompetence with spreadsheet (Excel) and word processing (Word) programs\n\n

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\n\nBilingual English and Spanish.\n
