We are currently seeking a talented Coding Specialist-PRN to join our dynamic and growing team. This position is responsible for supporting our outpatient and inpatient services.
Successful candidates will possess:
CCS certification required. 2+ years of coding experience preferred. Knowledge of Federal requirements for the Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility Prospective Payment System (IRFPPS) preferred. Knowledge and application of ICD10-CM and ICD10-PCS diagnostic coding required. Coding accuracy of patient conditions (ICD -10 CM) and procedures ICD 10 PCS) as documented with ICD- 10 codes in accordance with IRF- PAI (Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility Patient Assessment Instrument) guidelines as it relates to coding. Must have a working knowledge of the IGC (Impairment Group Codes) and RIC (Rehabilitation Impairment Categories) as it relates to the primary diagnosis selection and claim reimbursement. Solid communication skills with the ability to prepare and present information. Interest in maintaining professional development and continuing education related to prospective payment and coding issues. Ability to demonstrate critical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving skills. Flexibility, creativity, and adaptability in working with people and problems. Experience using E-Rehab and Cerner preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, pharmacology, as well as anatomy and physiology. High school graduate or equivalent required.
