A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Electrical and I&C Lead at our Dublin Biotech site to lead our Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls systems and oversee Operational Excellence projects within our Engineering Centre of Excellence. Bring energy, knowledge, innovation to carry out the following: 

Lead the Electrical and Instrumentation and Controls functions for our site to ensure high performance and reliability.Oversee Operational Excellence project governance, keeping projects on budget, on time, and aligned with our strategic goals.Supervise the Emergency Response Team, ensuring readiness for safety incidents and compliance with emergency protocols.Review and approve technical documents, including design documents and risk assessments, to ensure quality and safety.Perform Equipment Criticality assessments and implement reliability strategies.Analyse performance data to enhance maintenance strategies and operational efficiency.Ensure compliance with safety regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices to foster a safe work environment.Manage maintenance, inspection, and upgrades of systems to improve reliability and safety.Build strong vendor relationships to ensure quality maintenance services.Collaborate with technicians and cross-functional teams to implement maintenance programs for safe and reliable operations.Investigate equipment failures, conduct root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions.Mentor colleagues on electrical systems and procedures to strengthen team skills.Track key performance indicators related to people, safety, quality, delivery, and cost to support continuous improvement.Participate in initiatives that foster engineering excellence and innovation.Stay updated with new technologies to enhance operational efficiency.Lead change management initiatives to align with site objectives and engage stakeholders effectively. 

What skills you will need: 

In order to excel in this role, you will more than likely have: 

Level 8 qualification in electrical engineering and demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development.Experience working with electrical utilities and asset management.Familiarity with project governance from inception to completion.Understanding of the function and setup of Emergency Response teams and possess excellent communication skills.Experience with electrical systems, including medium and low voltage switchgear, uninterruptible power supply systems, and standby generators.Experience with instrumentation and controls, building services, fire safety systems, and electrical safety procedures.Knowledge of asset reliability maintenance and problem-solving skills, along with experience using computerised maintenance management systems.
