Primary Responsibilities
• Coordinates with the Senior Collaboration Support Engineer to ensure compliance with QBE policies, procedures and relevant legislations
• Coordinates with the Senior Collaboration Support Engineer to ensure consistency with system development security standards and principles
• Coordinates with the Senior Collaboration Support Engineer to provide regular updates to the Application Development Lead
• Develop and Implement systems according to the signed-off documents as shared by the BA/QA
• Undertake any other relevant duties as determined by the Lead/ Senior Collaboration Support Engineer
• Respond to issues referred from team members and assist with their resolution where appropriate
• Learn new development methodologies and initiatives
• Issues resolved or escalated in a timely manner in alignment with SLA
• Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.
• Ensure customer impacts are assessed and addressed in the design and delivery of solutions
• Deliver solutions meeting customers’ needs, e.g., eBusiness, online tools
• Effectively handover application changes and enhancements and provide support as required
• Proactively build and maintain strong and effective working relationships with key stakeholders
• Perform more complex development activities which may be beyond the competency or skill of a junior collaboration support engineer.
• Analyse business requirements, design and implement solutions
• Complete impact analysis, determine test coverage requirements
• Ensure appropriate support to the end users during UAT and Postproduction Testing.
• Develop applications which includes coordination and collaboration with the BA/QA as well as the Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) of the project owners.
• Perform implementation, handover and support activities as required
• Identify, communicate and manage risks and issues as they arise
• Accuracy and timeliness of output
Required Education
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
Required Experience
• 5 years relevant experience
Preferred Competencies/Skills
• Hands on development on client server and n-tier systems
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Knowledge
• Broad knowledge of software development life cycle processes
• Knowledge on OOPS concepts
• Knowledge on Agile

The Collaboration Support Engineer under guidance from the Senior Collaboration Support Engineer, codes, tests, corrects, and documents moderate programs and scripts from agreed specifications and subsequent iterations, using agreed standards and tools.
