Area:
At BASF, our Finance Order-to-Cash (F-O2C) team is essential for ensuring efficiency and reliability in the financial management of our operations in the Americas. From our Hub in Montevideo, we oversee the processes from the moment of sale to the payment from customers, and we are responsible for key areas such as treasury and cash management, accounts receivable, collections management, credit management, intercompany reconciliation, and master data for customers and suppliers. Our goal is to maintain robust and agile processes, minimize financial and operational risks, and foster continuous innovation through the digitization and automation of tasks.
Main Objective of the Position:
Execute collection activities and account reconciliation for third-party customers and/or regions of low complexity in a timely manner; seek process improvements as needed.
Main Tasks:
Contact customers through various communication channels (e.g., emails, calls, WhatsApp); send updated account statements to low-complexity customers and responsible sales teams.
Provide necessary information to the Accounts Receivable team to ensure received payments are applied correctly; maintain updated customer information in the Collection tool (Get Paid).
Communicate with the respective team regarding billing discrepancies reported by the customer.
Participate in ad hoc meetings with clients and the business team.
Comply with processes outlined in the guidelines.
Assist in the preparation of internal and external audits.
Take part in small projects with the support of the assigned focal person.
Monitor KPIs such as Overdue and Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) for the assigned portfolio of low-complexity businesses, providing explanations upon request.
Minimum Education and Qualification Requirements for the Position:
Education: Student or graduate in International Relations, Communication, or with experience in customer service.
Work Experience: 1 to 3 years in customer service.
Languages: Advanced proficiency in French and English (both required), along with advanced Spanish.
Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of Excel and SAP are desirable.
Soft Skills: Advanced communication, attention to detail, and basic problem-solving skills.
