The Collection Specialist is responsible for managing and collecting outstanding accounts receivable from clients. This role requires fluency in Greek to effectively communicate with Greek-speaking clients. The specialist will work closely with the finance team to ensure timely payments and resolve any issues related to overdue accounts.
Your role:
Accounts Receivable Management: Monitor and manage accounts receivable balances, ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices
Client Communication: Communicate with Greek-speaking clients via phone, email, and other channels to follow up on overdue payments and resolve any billing issues
Payment Processing: Process incoming payments and reconcile accounts to ensure accurate financial records
Dispute Resolution: Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or disputes related to invoices and payments
Reporting: Prepare regular reports on collection activities, outstanding accounts, and payment status for management review
Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations in all collection activities
Collaboration: Work closely with the finance team, sales department, and other stakeholders to address any issues impacting collections
You're the right fit if:
Language Skills: Fluency in Greek, intermediate English or higher, both written and spoken
Technical Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Soft Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Nice to have:
Experience in the healthcare or technology industry
Knowledge of Philips products and services
Familiarity with Greek financial regulations and practices
Experience: experience in accounts receivable or collections, preferably in a multinational company
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP)
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
