Position Summary

We are seeking a Collections Coordinator to join our Credit & Collections team. This individual will be responsible for managing accounts receivable, resolving billing issues, and maintaining strong customer relationships. The ideal candidate will have a customer service mindset, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesManage accounts in assigned stationsCall and email customers regarding past due accountsMonitor and analyze accounts for potential credit holds or increasesRefer accounts to the Credit Department as neededProcess invoice corrections and handle disputesCollaborate with internal teams to resolve billing issuesResearch payments and obtain necessary remittance informationEscalate delinquent accounts to outside collections when necessaryGenerate and analyze aging reports for internal and customer useCreate custom Excel reports for customers as neededRequired QualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalent2–5 years of experience in customer service, collections, or accounts receivableStrong communication skills (verbal and written)Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially ExcelExperience with Bill of Lading and Purchase Orders preferredAbility to work on-site 5 days a week in Shelton, CTPreferred SkillsExperience in a call center or office environmentFamiliarity with credit analysis and collections strategiesAbility to identify and resolve discrepanciesComfortable making outbound calls and handling sensitive conversationsWhy Join Us?Be part of a growing team with opportunities for advancementWork in a brand-new officePotential for future supervisory rolesSupportive leadership and collaborative team cultureWork Environment
