Collections Specialist
Description We are seeking a Collections Specialist to join our team in the manufacturing industry. This position is located in Saddle Brook, New Jersey. As a Collections Specialist, your primary role will involve managing customer accounts, specifically in relation to their credit applications and records. You will also be tasked with resolving any customer inquiries related to their accounts. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Efficiently manage and clean up accounts receivable. • Regularly monitor aging reports and initiate necessary actions. • Maintain an accurate record of customer credit. • Collect outstanding balances from customers in a professional and effective manner. • Assist customers in understanding and resolving issues related to their invoices. • Use Excel and other relevant software to manage and analyze customer data. • Ensure all customer inquiries are resolved promptly and accurately. • Utilize your skills in Accounts Receivable (AR) and B2B collections to improve the overall efficiency of our collections process. • Work closely with other team members to ensure a seamless financial process. • Adhere to all company policies and regulations related to collections. Requirements • Proven experience in a Collections Specialist role within the manufacturing industry is preferred • Proficiency in managing Accounts Receivable (AR) • Demonstrable skills in B2B collections • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion • Proficiency in using financial software and databases • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines • High level of integrity and professionalism • Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory requirements is advantageous • Willingness to continuously improve and update knowledge and skills.
