Description We are offering a contract for a position as a Collections Specialist in Austin, Texas. This role involves managing advanced delinquent accounts with a focus on loss mitigation and asset recovery. The successful candidate will need to possess expertise in collateral and repossession processes. Responsibilities: • Handle and place outbound calls to negotiate repayment plans and discuss delinquent accounts. • Reconcile vendor invoices and oversee repossession-related expenses. • Comply with credit union policies, Fair Debt Collection Practices, and other applicable regulations related to Collections. • Manage late-stage delinquent accounts, implement advanced recovery actions like skip tracing, repossessions, and legal referrals. • Collaborate with third-party vendors for repossessions and impounds, ensuring proper documentation and compliance. • Process insurance claims and skip claim filing. • Maintain consistent daily follow-up on delinquent loans, credit card, and shared accounts. • Resolve misapplied payments ensuring correct allocation. • Update member accounts and document collection activities in appropriate systems. • Handle escalated member inquiries related to asset recovery. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential • Familiarity with Accurint • Experience with ADP - Financial Services • Adeptness in using CRM for managing customer relationships and data • Proficiency in handling Accounts Receivable (AR) • Ability to manage Answering Inbound Calls efficiently • Experience in Billing Functions is required • Skills in Claim Administration are necessary • Understanding of Collection Processes is essential • Experience with Temenos software is a plus Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
