MSA has an opportunity for a Collections Specialist in our Baraboo office. In this role, you will monitor accounts receivable to identify overdue payments, contacting clients to arrange for payment, and keeping accurate records and reporting on collection activity. This position is perfect for an accounting professional with both attention to detail and a proven ability to build and maintain good relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.

ResponsibilitiesWHAT YOU WILL DO
Communicate effectively with clients about payment and collection policiesWork effectively with clients to collect outstanding Accounts Receivable while maintaining client relationshipsCollaborate with Project Managers, Project Assistants, and Project Accountants to resolve outstanding Accounts Receivable issues and confirm documentation of collection activitiesWorks with project personnel to provide invoice copies, client statements, or other supporting materials for timely approval of paymentsIdentify, document, and escalate challenging collections issues to ControllerProvide excellent client service by interacting with clients and MSA staff in a positive and professional mannerIdentify and communicate opportunities for improvement within the collections process QualificationsWHAT YOU BRING
High school diploma/GED or equivalent experienceAt least 3 years accounting experience required; experience in A/E industry desirableAbility to use logic and reasoning to assess solutions and approaches to problemsProficiency with MS Office products applicationsMust be well organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented and be able to prioritize and handle multiple tasksRequires personable and professional face-to-face, telephone and email communicationsAbility to work well independently and as part of team; collaborate with a broad range of employeesAbility to properly handle sensitive and confidential informationApplies basic concepts, principals, and technical capabilities to perform routine tasks.Recognizes and solves routine issues that occur within the team or department without supervisory approval.
