Description We are seeking a Collections Specialist to join our team in the Wholesale Distribution industry, located in LEXINGTON-FAYETTE, Kentucky. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity where you will play a crucial role in managing customer accounts, processing credit applications, maintaining accuracy in records, and addressing customer queries. Responsibilities: • Manage commercial collections processes to ensure timely recovery of payments • Apply a customer service-oriented approach to handle collections on consumer accounts • Process and verify customer credit applications with a high degree of accuracy • Maintain up-to-date and accurate records of all customer credit information • Ensure prompt resolution of customer inquiries and issues related to collections • Monitor the status of customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary • Utilize commercial collections skills to manage and recover payments on commercial accounts. Requirements • Demonstrated experience in Collection Processes is necessary for this role. • Proficiency in Consumer Collections is a crucial skill. • Knowledge of Commercial Collections is essential for effective job performance. • A strong background in Commercial Collections is required. • Familiarity with the Wholesale Distribution industry is a significant advantage. • Ability to maintain detail-oriented relationships with clients while managing collection processes. • Excellent communication and negotiation skills are needed to resolve payment issues. • Strong analytical skills to evaluate customers' creditworthiness. • High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial records. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Knowledge of relevant legal requirements related to debt collection. • Proficiency in using collections software and related business systems.
