Collections Specialist

Our client is seeking a **Collections Specialist** to join their team. As a Collections Specialist, you will be part of the Accounts Receivable department supporting the finance team. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Collections Specialist
**Location:** Winston Salem, North Carolina
**Contract:** 6 months extension possible
**What's the Job?**
+ Responding to external and internal customer requests via phone and email in a fast-paced, highly complex environment.
+ Independently collect past due invoices by contacting customers via phone, email, or portal.
+ Independently reconcile complex accounts and support in resolving customer disputes in a timely manner.
+ Process daily and/or month-end account reconciliations and cash applications of payments.
+ Prepare weekly aging reports and prioritize accounts based on overdue status.
**What's Needed?**
+ **Required** : experience **with SAP and Excel.**
+ **Required: Proven experience in collections, particularly in B2B environments.**
+ Strong technical skills and advanced organizational abilities.
+ Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
+ Ability to train new team members on daily tasks.
