Job Title: Collections Specialist

Job Description

Candidates will be working as a credit analyst in a $2bn manufacturing company. They will act as a 'floater,' assisting other collectors with their portfolios and helping with accounts that are severely past due (>180 days). Candidates will need to read through contracts to understand billing and collections for each customer, reach out for payment, update invoice status, update credit status/limits, and update account status in the AR system. They will also be responsible for handling vague invoices, determining the correct business unit, and accepting payments properly. Interaction with the AR and sales teams will be necessary for this role. Candidates will reconcile accounts when there are partial payments, double payments, or clients taking credit more than once.

ResponsibilitiesAssist other collectors with their portfolios and handle severely past due accounts.Read through contracts to understand billing and collections for each customer.Reach out for payment and update invoice status.Update credit status/limits and account status in the AR system.Handle vague invoices, determine the correct business unit, and accept payments properly.Interface with AR and sales teams as needed.Reconcile accounts involving partial payments, double payments, and multiple credits.Essential Skills1+ years of experience as a credit analyst.1+ years of experience with Microsoft Excel, specifically using VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and running reports.1+ years of experience working with reconciling accounts.1+ years of experience communicating with clients to release orders, judge credit status, and increase/update credit limits.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with liens is highly preferred.Work Environment

Candidates will train in the office for approximately 2 months, depending on the candidate. Once confident, the position is fully remote with occasional office visits as needed. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
