As an Activity Coordinator you will be responsible for leading activities across the adult social care provision. You will also be responsible for line managing a small team of Support Workers.
Sense have a fantastic opportunity for an Activity Coordinator to join our team at our College in Aldeby. This is a permanent role working 35 hours per week.
You will encourage individuals to develop valuable, relevant life skills and experience a wide range of educational, recreational and leisure pursuits. You will support people with a range of disabilities to participate in a number of different activities offered at our Sense Centre, and to access facilities in the local community. You will also supervise team members and provide varying levels of support with personal care tasks.
You will lead activity sessions based in both the day centre and the wider local community. This includes supervising other team members as well as supporting people to be as involved as possible in every part of their day to day lives so that they can be full and active members of society. You will contribute to the planning, development and implementation of sessions as well as maintaining the area as a safe and functional learning environment. You will supervise Support Workers and ensure the team are delivering quality service.
