Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and empowering students to achieve their full potential.
The CCR Teacher will lead and teach the College and Career Readiness courses to all 11th and 12th grade students. The College and Career Readiness courses provide students the opportunity to explore and prepare for the college and career application process while exposing them to college and career readiness skills
+ Planning and teaching lessons focused on college and career readiness skills
+ Implementing lessons from the BuffSci College Access and Success curriculum, which exposes students to postsecondary options and helps them create a strong transition plan to their postsecondary life
+ Differentiating and aligning daily instruction based on data
+ Create access to college & career resources and opportunities available to support underrepresented populations
+ Knowledge of SAT/ACT/ASVAB/AP/PSAT registration processes and the impact on college access.
+ Motivating and investing students in the College and Career Readiness Course and post-secondary skills necessary for success
+ Maintaining grades and attendance in Schooltool for students
+ Coordinate planning, promoting, and executing 11th and 12th grade College Trips and college knowledge events, including setting attendance goals for the college fair and info sessions with the Director of Guidance.
+ Other duties assigned by the leadership team
Requirements
+ Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Work, or a related field.
+ Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is preferred.
+ Knowledge of employment labor law and workforce development principles is advantageous.
+ Strong skills in training development and the ability to create effective educational programs.
+ Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds.
+ Proficient in interviewing techniques to assess student needs effectively.
+ A commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated on best practices in education.
+ Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining a student-centered approach.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $46,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
