College of Medicine Student Engagement & Wellness Coordinator

The Student Engagement and Wellness Coordinator is responsible for completing various tasks that create positive programmatic learning experiences for medical students. The Coordinator partners with staff and faculty on administrative and operational function for co-curricular and extra-curricular activities and events, including student organizations, learning communities, and student health and wellness events.

Primary position responsibilities:

Serve as a key administrative liaison between students and FCoM offices/administrative functions, facilitating effective access to core student services and resources, providing hands-on support for student-run and school-sponsored events, programs, and activities working closely with volunteers to establish goals and priorities. Answering student questions about procedures, assisting students in meeting the professional expectations of being a medical student.Support processes via being a liaison to class officers, student organizations, interest groups, learning communities, and community service projects using a wide variety of systems and software to execute financial reports, event processes, and website maintenance. Demonstrates the ability to field last-minute requests with the flexibility to maintain a professional demeanor while still completing the task.Participate in common activities hosted by the Office of Student Affairs and Belonging, including New Student Orientation, White Coat Ceremony, Wellness Retreats, House Games/Competitions, Match Day, Awards Ceremonies, and Commencement.Evaluate program/event histories and monitor trends such as budget considerations, contractual provisions, and planning committee recommendations to improve event success year to year consistently.Maintain efficient office operations by routinely responding to purchasing requests for a variety of goods and services in support of the program via University P-Card, ensuring keen attention to detail and compliance with Belmont University policies and guidelines.
