The Peer Tutoring role is designed for upperclassmen
in perspective of the tutee designed to foster independent and active learners.
The goal is for students to understand the course content on a deeper level and
to help them identify their learning styles and study habits. Peer teaching
reinforces learning as peers share similar discourses allowing for greater
understanding.
Students are hired to tutor a group in Care Management and Patho pharmacology nursing courses. Student tutors will staff a resource room serving at least two hours each scheduled day. The resource room will hold tutoring sessions and include tutors for all course levels.
