MITRE's Emerging Technologies Division is seeking a number of current freshmen in college through juniors in college to serve as Technical Aides, student investigators who will assist and collaborate with senior staff in summer research projects on any one of variety of topics, including:

For this position, we require that the candidate is working towards their college diploma and have: mature communication skills, basic knowledge in the sciences and math, as well as consistently maintain sustained excellence in academic performance. Sustained excellence in academic performance includes a 3.0+ GPA or higher, high standardized test scores, plus a record of technical or scientific interests and engagement. Applicants will be selected for positions based upon the applicability of the skills and experience listed on their resumes to the technical area (or one of the two areas) for which they apply.
Eligibility: These positions are open only to applicants who are current freshmen through juniors in college, and who will not have completed their undergraduate studies and obtained their bachelor’s degree by summer 2025.
