What will you do?
The Column Supervisor oversees all production activities for the separation towers; duties include assisting with the safe and efficient setup of multiple separation towers and being accountable for site monitoring of pressures, valves, pumps, and hoses.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the daily supervision and monitoring of the work of staff to ensure the smooth and efficient running of column operations
Ensure the quality of products is maintained at a high level and in accordance with company policy and regulations
Provide direct and daily feedback to the Plant Manager regarding any personnel, equipment, safety, or productivity problems
Operate various pieces of process equipment related to the specific job function such as batch tanks, pumps, compressors, etc, and monitor and control temperatures, rotating equipment, pressures, mass, and volumetric flow
Implement measures to improve production methods
Work with, supervise, and train employees to handle high-pressure and liquid cylinders and fill cylinders by pressure and weight, per regulations and standards
Carry out operational activity including preparing, filling, picking, and dispatching cylinders, as well as working in the recovery process so that we are available to fulfill customer orders
Understand hazards of various gases; sizes, and contents of cylinders by reading and interpreting cylinder labels and the color-coding of tanks
Demonstrate the ability to be a safety leader by fostering a strong safety culture and ensuring a safe work environment with a commitment to zero injuries, emissions, and leaks
Maintain high standards of housekeeping and support 5S and lean projects
Experience, Knowledge, and Qualification
High School Diploma or equivalent required, some college courses preferred
5+ years' experience in a chemical plant or experience within the compressed gas industry
5+ years of proven supervisory experience
DOT certification must be obtained within 1 year
Forklift, overhead crane, and clamp operation experience or ability to become certified within 60 days
Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of hand tools
Functional computer skills
EPA 608 Universal Certificate or must be able to obtain within 6 months
Physical Demand Requirements:
Frequently pushes, pulls, moves, and lifts up to 50 pounds independently
Frequently operates a computer using a traditional keyboard to input detailed information such as serial numbers
Manipulations (seizing, holding, grasping or otherwise working with hands) up to 50-75% of the day
Constantly works in environments with uncontrolled climate and some exposure to outdoor weather conditions
