The Combustion Applications Specialist is to develop and drive the sales of our applications technology and to support our growth of the merchant business (leading with generated gases mode of supply) across all Europe.
This senior technical sales position is the key to our strategy of making our Applications Technology related business profitable. You will have the overall responsibility for some of our key offerings in the Combustion segment and will ensure that a common commercial approach to selling these products and services is adopted across Europe.
In cases where Air Products have a key partnership, you will ensure maintaining the relationship. You will also contribute to further our Applications development and close cooperation with other teams.

As the Combustion Applications Specialist, you will
Identify new prospects, develop, and present proposals, negotiate contracts, oversee projects, and provide process expertise during start-ups.
Provide process expertise and technology differentiation to onsite bid teams looking to secure larger 3G supplies of oxygen/nitrogen/argon/hydrogen and liquid gas sales contracts.
Manage existing partnerships and identify new opportunities for collaboration.
Provide sales, marketing, and process input for new developments.
Support and train the country sales teams as needed.
Represent Air Products at conferences, exhibitions, and seminars.
Region – Europe with main focus for Central Europe / Poland.
As the Combustion Applications Specialist, you already are or have
Knowledge of the Iron, Steel, Cement or Non-ferrous metals, glass production and combustion is preferred.
Social, cultural and communication skills with a willingness to travel across all Europe
Commercially astute with demonstrated ability to negotiate complex deals and scope
Min. Engineering degree. Relevant background with previous experience
Ability to collate and analyse information and derive preferred solution
High awareness of Safety
