This program immerses students into the daily operation of a contemporary media and technology company while working side-by-side with Comcast’s top innovators. The student becomes an integral part of the Comcast team working on creative, innovative, and thought-provoking projects within various business units.
**Organization** **& Team** **Overview**
The Market & Competitive Growth Strategy (MCGS) team plays a key role in developing Comcast's longer-term consumer growth strategy, specifically our longer-term path to competitive differentiation. The foundation of our framework is assessing how consumer preferences, priorities, and behaviors are evolving regarding broadband, mobile, entertainment, and smart home services. In conjunction with that effort, we analyze competitor strategies and tactics for meeting those changing consumer needs. That consumer/market view provides the context for the longer-term path we help define for Comcast to deliver unique and compelling services that resonate with consumers and differentiate us in the process.

The Market & Competitive Growth Strategy (MCGS) team is seeking a motivated and analytical co-op to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to Comcast's strategic planning efforts, focusing on the development of our long-term consumer growth strategy and competitive differentiation. The co-op will play a vital role in understanding and assessing evolving consumer preferences, behaviors, and priorities in key service areas such as broadband, mobile, and entertainment. Additionally, the role will involve analyzing competitor strategies and tactics, as well as contributing to the development of customer experience and go-to-market strategies to help shape Comcast's future path in delivering unique and compelling services that resonate with consumers.

Our mission: Identify new opportunities for Comcast to drive longer-term growth and achieve competitive differentiation, and help to inform our consumer marketing/advertising, technology, product, and partnership initiatives to fulfill that vision.
Where can this student make an impact?
The person filling this role will have an opportunity to develop market/competitor analysis to be shared with the senior executive team at Comcast, and will participate in meetings with those executives during their co-op.
**Job Responsibilities**
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
+ The Market & Competitive Growth Strategy (MCGS) Co-Op will play a key role in systematically tracking changes in the Internet and mobile markets, including shifts in competitor strategies and tactics as well as analyzing quarterly market/competitive performance. Key companies to be tracked include Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, Frontier, and Charter.
+ The MCGS Co-Op will be responsible for highlighting tangible changes in competitor performance trends as well as notable changes occurring across the overall Internet and mobile markets.
+ This role will contribute to the evaluation of current customer experience touchpoints and identify opportunities for improvement. Provide insights on how to enhance the overall customer journey to drive higher satisfaction and loyalty.
+ This role will provide strategic support, contributing to brainstorming sessions and strategic planning meetings, offering insights and perspectives based on research findings, particularly regarding customer experience and market entry strategies.
+ This role will also involve collaboration with others who help to identify longer-term ways for us to achieve competitive differentiation with consumers in providing Internet and mobile connectivity services.
+ The person filling this role will have a unique opportunity to join Briefing sessions with the senior executive team at Comcast to discuss key trends unfolding across the Connectivity industry including opportunities and challenges for Comcast.

**Preferred** **Skills**
+ Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights, particularly regarding customer experience and market strategies.
+ Research Abilities: Experience or coursework in market research, customer experience analysis, and competitive strategy.
+ Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and concisely.
+ Proficiency in Tools: Familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI) and research platforms (e.g., surveys, databases).
+ Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to team discussions and decisions.
+ Curiosity & Initiative: A proactive approach to learning and problem-solving, with a strong curiosity about consumer behavior, customer experience, and market dynamics.
+ Preferred Majors:Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
**Minimum** **Qualifications** **and Eligibility Requirements**
+ Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree from Drexel University, with a cooperative learning track.
+ Available to work 40 hours per week for 6 months starting March 31, 2025 through September 19, 2025.
+ Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs
+ Available to report in-person to the work location on the job posting (unless virtual offering)
