The Comcast Cooperative Experience internship Program will help you cultivate meaningful relationships, develop strong interpersonal and business skills, gain exposure to the day-to-day operations of a Fortune 40 media and technology company, and receive mentorship opportunities to expand your professional network. This program immerses students into the daily operation of a contemporary media and technology company while working side-by-side with Comcast’s top innovators. The student becomes an integral part of the Comcast team working on creative, innovative, and thought-provoking projects within various business units. **Organization & Team Overview** The Performance Insights team provides business critical insights, ensures cross-functional alignment of goals and execution, and helps drive the performance of the commercial, marketing, and sales organization. The group focuses on being the source of truth for subscriber and sales performance, playing a leadership role with executive reporting and forecasting and is a key partner to the business to enable data-led decisions. **Role Description** This position will support the broader Growth Strategy & Operations organization with strategic insights, forecasting, and ad-hoc analysis impacting subscriber growth across all Xfinity product offerings. Strong candidates will excel at extracting insights from large data sets, as well as crafting executive-level presentations that tell the story behind business trends. Day-to-day responsibilities will vary in accordance with business needs, and might include forecasting, product and promotional analytics, or industry and competitive analysis to drive actionable insights focused on growing or retaining our Residential customer base. As such, an ideal candidate will be comfortable wearing many hats and possess strong intellectual curiosity necessary to investigate critical business trends. What are some interesting problems the student will work on? As a Performance Insights co-op, you'll be responsible for uncovering what’s happening in the business, understanding why it’s happening, and determining the best approach to address it. You will tackle a diverse array of challenges that integrate data analysis, forecasting, and performance optimization. You will have the opportunity to develop dynamic dashboards and reports that support teams across the Growth Strategy & Operations organization. Additionally, you’ll engage cross-functionally to ensure that key forecasting assumptions are aligned across all lines of business and sales channels, driving consistency and accuracy in decision-making processes. Where can this student make an impact? As a Performance Insights co-op, your work will have a significant impact across all areas of the business. You’ll collaborate with teams such as Finance, Business Development, Media Strategy, and other key departments. Success in this role will be measured by your ability to identify areas of opportunity, craft effective strategies to address challenges, and work collaboratively to implement those strategies. **Job Responsibilities** Responsibilities include but are not limited to: + Synthesize actionable insights from internal and external company data by applying appropriate analytical techniques + Formulate a hypothesis-driven approach to key business problems to ensure all important questions are addressed fully and accurately + Forecast subscriber targets, growth rates, and pacing necessary to achieve business goals + Communicate findings clearly and concisely through narrative-driven presentations and effective data visualizations to Comcast executives and decision makers; ability to “tell the story” + Drive stakeholder alignment among cross-functional teams (Product, Finance, Acquisition and Retention Marketing, Divisions, etc.) + Promote and evangelize a culture of excellence, data driven discussions, healthy skepticism, intellectual curiosity, knowledge sharing, and teamwork, while maintaining an environment that is upbeat and fun + Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance. + Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary. + Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. **Preferred Skills** + Strong business acumen and critical thinking skills. Prior experience in Cable / Telco industries or subscription-based business a plus + Expert in Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables…), and PowerPoint. Able to apply basic statistical techniques (linear regression, correlation, sampling, etc.) to business trends + Able to build assumption-based financial models and dissect analyst reports as needed + Skilled in identifying data issues and anomalies during analysis + Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
