**Organization** **& Team** **Overview**
Comcast’s DevX organization builds the tools that reduce friction for our developers through enhanced developer experiences.
The Accelerate team provides automation solutions and centralized services reducing context switching in complex development environments. The Gears & Shield team specifically creates automation solutions for Comcast’s vast infrastructure environment.
**Role Description**
Are you passionate about platform engineering, automation and finding solutions to complex problems? Do you like big challenges and working within a highly motivated team environment?
As Full Stack Software Engineering Co-op on the Gears & Shield team, you will be part of a team that focuses on the full stack development of solution architecture (both tactical and strategic) to fully support enterprise needs, services, systems and technology management.
What are some interesting problems the student will work on?
In your role, you will work with other full stack software developers to ensure services are envisioned, crafted, developed, and implemented across the enterprise to meet business needs.
You’ll be working with the best and brightest minds in Comcast while we roll out automation workflows, cybersecurity remediations, and enhance our internal developer portal.
**Job Responsibilities**
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
+ Work with fellow DevOps Engineers to build and maintain our production tools to ensure ongoing reliability while maximizing development team efficiency
+ Fix and debug infrastructure, network, and operating system issues related to our services portfolio
+ Build and maintain operations software which automates the configuration, provisioning, deployment and monitoring of our core systems
+ Assists in the development of solution architecture (both tactical and strategic) to fully run/support enterprise needs, services, systems and technology management.
+ Perform automated deployments to create new or update existing production environments.
+ Set up and maintain alarm systems for notifications on error conditions
+ Isolates problems related to systems that interact with their code.
+ Assist in the optimization of the system performance and parameters.
+ Keeps up to date on technical changes within the team, as well as new industry tools, techniques and practices.
+ Ensures services are envisioned, crafted, developed, and implemented across the enterprise to meet business needs.
+ Presents solutions to senior architects.
+ Ensures solutions are well engineered, operable, maintainable, and delivered on schedule.
+ Tracks and documents requirements for projects and improvements.
+ Assists in the planning and design of new or upgraded systems.
+ Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
+ Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.

**Minimum Qualifications and Eligibility Requirements**
+ Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree from Drexel University, with a cooperative learning track.
+ Available to work 40 hours per week for 6 months starting March 31, 2025 through September 19, 2025.
+ Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs
+ Available to report in-person to the work location on the job posting (unless virtual offering)
