Responsibilities:

The Weapons Analysis & Innovation group has an immediate need for an individual contributor to assist in production, sustainment, and modernization efforts involving a rapidly developed Army Ground Launch System. Primary duty is to serve as a Command and Control (C2) Engineer for the Program Executive Office – Missiles and Space Mid-Range Capability Project Office (MRCPO), which is responsible for the development, testing, integration, and fielding of the Army’s Mid-Range Missile capability. The C2 Engineer is responsible for advising the MRCPO in the design, development, fielding, and modernization of the Battery Operation Center (BOC) as part of the Army Mid-Range Capability. The C2 Engineer will assist in managing technical requirements, and risk for the Department of Defense (DoD) and the Army’s Long Range Precision Fires priority to field an experimental prototype battery with residual combat capability in support of Multi-Domain Operations. The C2 Engineer assists with the systems architecture and federated integration of the Tactical Tomahawk Weapon Control System (TTWCS), Aegis Weapon System (AWS), the Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS), and the Joint Automated Deep Operations Coordination System (JADOCS) in the BOC.

Support the development, prototyping, modernization, testing, evaluation, and transition of the BOC C2 software and hardware and support the integration and test events of the Mid-Range Capabilities. Provide systems engineering & integration for hardware and software development for missile system power and C2 capabilityProvide systems engineering and integration analytical support on new major defense system development programReview and define system requirementsReview and evaluate system technical specifications, designs, analyses, test plans/procedures, and technical data packagesInterface with other government organizations and development contractors to facilitate preliminary concept exploration and candidate system designDevelop and present briefings, analysis, and reports to industry, internal/external government organizations, and senior/executive leadership within DoD and the Federal Government.

Required Travels: 15%

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering10 years of experience supporting engineering for weapon systemsMinimum 5 years of experience in systems engineering for major defense acquisition program office or OEMDemonstrated knowledge and application of systems engineering and requirements analysisSuccessful missile system fire direction and power systems development experienceDemonstrated experience with System Requirements Design ReviewsExcellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skillsProficiency in MS OfficeActive Secret Clearance/with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance within 12 months, if neededAbility to multitask in a high paced environmentExperience in kill-chain management or equivalent communications management architectures. Experience in in-the-loop encryption/decryption involving engagement commands. Ability to work on-site.
