Commercial Account Manager- MelbournePosition Overview
Reports to: Regional Vice President of Sales, Shaw Contract Australia Pty Ltd
Based at: Cremorne, Melbourne, Australia
Job purpose:
To grow market share year over year for Shaw Contract in soft and hard floor coverings by making sales calls to A&D, End Use and Flooring Contractor clients. The sales position is expected to manage a sales territory through excellent territory and account management utilising all tools and resources of the business.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Set the goals and objectives of the agreed customer base and Territory. Meet and exceed established sales targets and prospect for new business to develop sales pipeline.Complete an average of 4-6 sales calls daily, on A&D, Dealer and End Use clients who write or influence specifications.Work with architects, designers, trade, end users, builders, etc. to select appropriate products for their projects that fit within their design criteria, budget and time requirements.Measure progress and implement necessary changes. Adhere to Corporate policy. Travel within the assigned Territory to meet with customers and assess business opportunities and conditions. Develop customer relations through regular contact with customers and prompt courteous responses to all inquiries via phone, email or letter. Full understanding of product lines and the application that each product serves.Monitor sales performance and assist customers in promoting sales. You are required to have excellent written and verbal communication skills. You must be able to communicate competitive conditions and programs. Entertain clients as needed with lunches, dinners or industry events. Analyze and control expenditure to conform to budgetary requirements. Must be dependable, self-motivated and maintain a good attendance record.Utilize Salesforce to perform daily, weekly and monthly activities following operating procedures. Participate in annual business planning through Salesforce annuallyPreferred Experience:
Two (2) years of prior sales experienceExperience in commercial interiors or commercial finishesExperience managing a dealer networkExperience selling through institutional segments (including but not limited to all levels of government, education and healthcare)Competencies:
