Commercial Administrator - Buyer (Intern)

As a Commercial Administrator for US Regional Construction Procurement, you will be a part of the Indirect Regional Facilities Procurement team at Micron Technology, Inc.  You will support the procure to pay and contract administration of construction, equipment, materials, and services purchases across the entire US Region for Micron's Facilities. You will engage externally with construction, manufacturing, and professional service companies and assure the effective transaction of purchases and contracts between Micron and its suppliers.

Internally, you will partner with cross-functional teams and multiple Facilities Management organizations to ensure purchases of construction related goods and services is accomplished timely and correctly. You will assist in the planning, formation, and execution of multiple facility construction and improvement projects.  You will support and execute purchase orders, change orders and variations, invoice receipts, reconciliations and settlements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist in development and documenting of purchasing timelines and cost breakdown structures for Micron construction projects.
• Support supplier qualification, on-boarding and activation processes to ensure set-up of new suppliers and entities in Micron's purchasing and accounting systems.
• Coordinate and administer new agreements with suppliers such as non-disclosures, supply, and service agreements to enable on-going and future transactions.

• Support invoice reconcile and settlement process including cross functional reviews and approvals.

• Participate in Purchasing and Contracting Process improvement programs with key stakeholders.

• Develop & maintain datasets for key department metrics and performance indicators.

• Maintain purchase data and report through dashboards and organize status review meetings.    

EDUCATION:

• Pursuing Bachelor's or Master's Degree (preferred)

EXPERIENCE:

Required

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Notes, PowerPoint)

Preferred

• Over one year experience in construction related industry

• Over one year experience in purchasing related business role

• Experience operating in an Enterprise Resource Planning program such as SAP or Oracle.

TRAVEL:

• Likely None (May incur one domestic trip to a US Micron facility during internship).
