Commercial Advisor/Pricing Support

Division: ESCO 

Location: 282 Rutland Avenue, Welshpool, WA, 6106 OR 25 Trade Street, Lytton, QLD, 4178

Purpose of Role: The Commercial Advisor/Pricing Support will provide commercial support to the Australasia Business, working in accordance with Weir Group corporate policies, guidelines and strategies. Focused on driving favorable commercial outcomes for the business. The role encompasses review and negotiation of Tenders, Supply Contracts, Pricing policy & implementation, Lease reviews and addresses a broad range of other commercial issues for the business in the Australasian region.

Key Responsibilities: 

Pricing: Oversee and review the execution and compliance to contracts (Formalized KPI’S). Execute on pricing strategy, perform competitor analysis on similar products and services, scope out opportunities based on market trends and industry condition, identify ideal pricing structures and sales funnels, assist with strategic pricing plans and processes to improve existing projects, create reports reflecting metrics and project status, objectives and barriers, managing the contract discount models for select accounts, managing/reviewing item pricing for accounts, analysing/reporting price related issues for Major (KAM) clients. Liaise with allocated customer accounts and Sales teams with regard to price strategies. Sales Contracts: Review proposed customer Supply Contracts, prepare legal/commercial exceptions, draft required amendments to ensure all contracts are in line with Weir Group policy and contractual exposure/risk is limited; negotiate contract amendments with customer’s commercial/legal teams; prepare contract summaries present final proposed contracts to FD/MD for sign off and approval. Commercial reviews and negotiates contracts for ESCO Australia, Indonesia and New Zealand. Insurance: Be familiar with Weir Group Insurance policies and advise the business on coverage issues as and when they arise. Property Leases: Assist with negotiation of Property Leases/renewals, ensuring that all leases satisfy corporate requirements. Advise the business on lease issues Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture. 

 

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications: 

Tertiary qualifications in Law with Strong Commercial, Mathematics/Statistics, and analytical background (mandatory) with in-house in a legal or commercial experience (mandatory) Ability to read, analyse, interpret and draft complex legal documents (mandatory) Mining/engineering/construction industry experience preferred Ability to understand commercial ramifications of legal contract provisions / translate legal exposure into an effective commercial solution for the business.
