To this end, Hologic’s Surgical Division recently announced the creation of the Business Intelligence & Data Analytics team. A newly created position on the team of Data Analyst will be a pivotal role in the success of both this new team and the Surgical Division more broadly.
The Data Analyst position will develop and deploy dynamic analytical models that identify key insights to address business challenges and opportunities. Working closely with the Surgical Division’s leadership team, these models will capture, analyze and enable action using data to drive decision-making with greater speed and enable scalability for future growth.
Candidates should have an intimate knowledge of data source design and management, and a strong understanding of how best to leverage, integrate, visualize, and communicate these sources in driving key insights and actions.
What to expect:
Work closely with Surgical division leadership and partners in IT to develop, build, and maintain commercial performance and forecast dashboards. These dashboards will primarily leverage Power BI and Salesforce visualization and customization. Leverage disparate data sources and shape continuous evolution of data models for easy access to critical information, reporting, and analysis. Direct data strategies and priorities in partnership with Surgical and IT leadership. Develop training tools that enable adoption, data literacy, and self-service accessibility for cross-functional stakeholders including sales, marketing, service and finance. Influence organizational culture and promote accountability by measuring commercial performance against critical KPIs. Identify and clearly communicate actionable insights from large data packages. Drive efficiencies, standardization, and a streamlined approach for technical support of analytical / reporting needs.What we expect:
Expertise in PowerBI, including data modeling, data analysis expressions (DAX), Power Query, and visual storytelling. Proficiency with related other Microsoft data-enabling tools including SQL Server, Azure and Excel. Familiarity with Oracle and Salesforce. Relevant certifications in analytics tools or methodologies are advantageous. Experience managing large datasets and applying statistical analysis methods. Thought leadership and ability to influence culture through data-driven insights. Strong organizational and project management skills, including ability to work across functions and lead analytical projects. Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and be a team player.Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Data Science, Statistics, or other Social Sciences discipline with an aptitude and training for quantitative analysis required. 2+ years of experience in an analytical support role required. Prior marketing and/or commercial business industry experience required, healthcare sector experience is a plus.The annualized base salary range for this role is $62,500 - 97,800 and is bonus eligible. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand.
