The underwriter will be responsible for reviewing and evaluating renewal accounts in accordance with established underwriting guidelines.  The underwriter will be responsible for developing strong relationships with independent agents and brokers.

Position Responsibilities:

This position supports the regional sales and production branches & Chubb Commercial Insurance underwriting goals related to profit, customer service, and producer relationships. 

Education/Experience: 

Experience in commercial insurance underwriting is preferred but not mandatory

Competencies/Technical Skills:

Demonstrate ability to analyze risks, prioritize the gathering of underwriting data, and clearly communicate a well thought out underwriting approachExcellent communication and documentation skills requiredAbility to work independently, show initiative, while demonstrating strong collaboration skills in a team environmentStrong time and desk management skillsWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite as well as other business-related software
