Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Commercial Banking Paralegal in DALLAS, Texas. Operating within the Legal industry, this role will require a proficient understanding of commercial banking operations, compliance, and transactional support.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately draft, review, and manage commercial loan agreements, promissory notes, security agreements, and other related documents.
• Oversee the creation and review of Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) filings and continuations, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
• Organize and maintain electronic and physical files for commercial banking transactions and legal matters, including tracking deadlines for document renewals, amendments, and compliance obligations.
• Provide administrative support to attorneys and legal staff, including communication with internal teams and external clients to gather and provide information.
• Assist in maintaining corporate records, such as board resolutions, meeting minutes, and certificates of good standing.
• Support compliance with banking regulations, including assistance with audits and responding to regulatory inquiries.
• Conduct research on banking and financial regulatory issues.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, external counsel, and clients on transactional matters, managing closing checklists and ensuring all necessary documentation is executed and filed.
• Prepare summaries and abstracts of legal documents for attorney review. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Commercial Banking Paralegal or similar role within the legal industry
• Demonstrable proficiency in using Aderant and CompuLaw software
• Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat and its uses in a legal setting
• Experience with Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS)
• Proficiency in using Case Management Software to efficiently manage and track cases
• Ability to handle Billing Functions, including tracking billable hours and creating invoices
• Experience in Briefing and preparing legal documents for review
• Expertise in Calendar Management, ensuring all appointments, deadlines, and court dates are accurately scheduled and met
• Experience in Claim Administration, including filing and tracking claims
• Excellent Communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex legal information to clients and team members
