Tax Specialist
Your role and responsibilitiesActing as Commercial Business Partner, you drive the selection of the most competitive and effective business structures or models for projects (equipment and services), considering logistics, taxes, delivery and legal constraints, all bearing in mind that these affect the overall strategy and global initiatives of the Process Industries Division. Moreover, you will ensure the operations of foreign registrations (e.g. VAT registrations, active branches/Permanent Establishment), including periodic tax filing, cost accruals, invoicing, etc. The work model for the role is: #LI-Hybrid Your responsibilities • Collaborate with suppliers, logistics providers, tax authorities, external consultants, and internal experts to improve the competitiveness of Process Industries, while acting as a business partner to the Sales team in selecting and evaluating business models for solutions and onsite services, focusing on pricing, delivery time, logistics, tax compliance, total cost of ownership, and connected services. • Identifying and evaluate opportunities and risks, proposing measures to mitigate non-compliance, tax, legal, staff or any other project risks and identifying opportunities to minimize costs and to improve the delivery time for equipment. • Ensuring periodic accounting and reporting duties on active foreign registrations (VAT, branches/Permanent Establishment), e.g. tax and income declarations and payments, cost accrual, invoicing, payment of salaries, social contributions, pension saving, etc. • Oversee internal processes and controls for the operation of foreign registrations (e.g., VAT, branches), including financial reporting and accounting, while guiding the development and implementation of standards, processes, policies, and procedures to enhance competitiveness, efficiency, and effectiveness in tendering and execution phases.
Qualifications for the roleA degree in economics, business administration, law or related field Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, such as project manager, sales manager, contract manager, controller, or tax expert within a large multinational company in a comparable industry Sound knowledge of international project business, preferably acquired in the industrial market A solution-focused approach, with strong communication and relationship-building skills Ability to drive change independently, with a demonstrated track record of these skills in previous roles; leadership skills are plus Fluency in English; German is an asset
